D1 / D2 Visa + Residency for Subordinate or Independent Professional Activity

The D1 Visa and residency for subordinate professional activity is often required once a
person wants to work in Portugal and already has a work agreement or a promissory work
agreement at the time of the submission of the application, being still in their country of
residence.
The D2 Visa and residency for independent professional activity is often required once a
person wants to work in Portugal and is self-employed at the time of the submission of the
application, being still in their country of residence.
