Local Accommodation – AL License
Local Accommodation allows property owners to rent out their properties to tourists or visitors on a temporary basis. It can include anything from a room to entire apartments, and it poses as an alternative to traditional accommodation options such as hotels.
Local lodgings in Portugal are regulated and, to operate legally, property owners must meet certain requirements set out in the legislation.

- Signature notarization of Power of Attorney, if needed
- Elaboration of all necessary documentation
- Analysis of all documents
- Open activity and registering as self-employed
- Issuing Social Security Number
- Issuing civil liability insurance in Portugal, if needed
- Submitting of request for local accommodation
- Submitting an appeal, if needed
- Folder with all property documents provided after completion of the process
