Residency for a Citizen of EU + EEA + Switzerland
The residency for a citizen of the European Union, (Download countries of the European Union HERE), European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and Switzerland, also known as “EU residency”, is the process of applying for a tax number, bank account and residency in Portugal.

- Issuing Portuguese tax number
- One year tax representation
- Opening a bank account in Portugal and issuing all means of access

- Submission of the process to update the address on the Residence Certificate
- Changing the tax address at the Tax and Customs Authority (max. 2 updates)
- Submission of the process to update the address at the Residence Certificate (max. 2 updates)
